Friday Favorite Finds 8.17.18

Friday Favorite Finds is back!  In leu of a Friday Favorite Finds post, last week I was working on some great new additions to the Porch Lemons & Pearls Shop.  Check out our new arrivals in the Shop!

Something I want…

llama wall hanging

{I’m looking for everything llama lately and I love this llama wall hanging from Anthropologie. My youngest is turning one year old soon and we are planning a “llama fun for our little girl turning one” birthday party.}

Something I need…

best things in life aren't things

{I think I should clarify this week…rarely is there something I need.  I have been very blessed and am most grateful for the life I have.  The definition of need is used very loosely in these posts to mean more of something that would be very nice and useful to have.}

Something to wear…

octopus dress

{Once again, the something to wear is for my little girl….are you noticing a pattern?  I seem to always buy clothes for them instead, but their clothes are just sooo cute!  Anyway, my almost 3 year old has recently gone through a growth spurt so we are re-stocking her closet and this octopus print dress from Target is such a fun and modern print!}

Something to read…

Home by Carson Ellis

{This is a darling little book with exquisite illustrations. Home highlights how people can live in so many different places, but they can all be called “home.”  Every year my sweet, sweet man of a husband gets a book and writes a message in it for each of our girls for their birthday.  This is the book he chose for our youngest’s birthday.}

And a little something extra.

wooden toy salve

{Often you will find in the “something extra” section I like to share an item from the Porch Lemons & Pearls Shop.  This week I am featuring The Little Huckleberry Lemon Wooden Toy Salve.  Wooden toys have become such a staple in our house, but with two little ones and a dog, who knows what type of mishaps are occurring with those poor toys.  I’m always cleaning, especially the wooden teethers, the wooden beads on the pacifier clips, the wooden beads on my teething necklace, etc.  The Little Huckleberry Salve is a mixture of organic beeswax and organic coconut oil, with a hint of organic lemon essential oil.  I just rub the salve over the toys and the dried out wood comes back to life, feeling soft and smooth once again for those sensitive little gums, which are trying so desperately to get some teeth!  And the hint of lemon is so subtle but fresh, and masks any spit up my little one leaves on whatever she is chewing on.  Added bonus, this stuff feels amazing on my hands and dry skin!}
